We have all been motivated by the organisational queen Marie Kondo with her latest Netflix series, Tidying Up with Marie Kindo. And who wouldn’t be, with the start of the New Year people often look to start fresh by decluttering their homes from the previous year, or years.
Kondo’s method of organizing is known as the KonMari Method. The KonMari Method encourages tidying by category beginning with clothes, then moving on to books, papers, komono (miscellaneous items), and, finally, sentimental items. Keep only those things that speak to the heart, and discard items that no longer spark joy. Thank them for their service – then let them go.
We explore our favourite pieces that are sure to spark joy in your life, as well as help keep your home decluttered and organised.
