The humble cushion is one of the most versatile décor accessories you can use to instantly transform and bring any space to life. They help bring your overall interior style together and create a cohesive look to your home.
We have put together five of our favourite looks to help inspire you on your next restyling session, as well as the following tips to consider. 
  • Odd numbers tend to look more balanced and are a more aesthetically pleasing.
  • Size matters, start with large cushions at the back and reduce in size as you move to the front.
  • Balance colour placement by using, say, darker cushions on opposite ends to avoid a bulky build up on one side.
  • Look for patterns of similar colours or theme to maintain the overall visual appeal.
  • Have fun with it!

A harmonious palette of green hues acts as the base to this look tropical look. Mixed patterns adds depth and visual interest, as does the use of combining linen and velvet textures.

When going for all neutrals, vary the texture and sizes of the cushions to add interest. Here we have used cowhide, linen and velvet, as well as a subtle stripe theme that we have worked through this look.

Light and fresh, this look is perfect when set against a crisp white base. Using three of our favourite cushions, these stunning patterns all work together to create an instant focal point in your space.

As you know, we really love blue and white! These feature cushions depict intricate patterns, all in a blue gradient. Light (the palm drawing cushion), dark (the ginger jar cushion) and mid (beaded cushion). Using three different patterned cushions of different weights creates a cohesive whole.

Tropical doesn’t always mean bright green! Here we have create a tropical look using more neutral colours, with a common palm tree motif that ties this look together. This calming look would work well in many interiors.
