at home with Alfresco

We have rounded up a few of our favourite desks to create home office spaces that we can guarantee will make working more enjoyable. As computers become smaller and more portable and paperwork reduces, desks and filing cabinets don't need to be stored in their own room, but can be integrated into the rest of the home. This way you can be with your family while you pay the bills and plan trips away.

The Manto Desk (below) is crafted from elm and the two drawers allow you plenty of space to store a laptop and paperwork. We love styling this desk with a few nautical accents, such as, pineapple lamps and anchor bookends to create a nook that integrates with the casual nautical feel of the rest of the home. Also available in white.

Our Bamboo Desk is a great option if you would like to place the back of your desk out from the wall as it is finished on both sides. It is also available in black and natural.

Shot by Home Beautiful Magazine, our Bahamas Desk (below), looks like it is a stones throw from a white sandy beach in the tropics. With plenty of drawers for storage and a lovely natural texture created by rattan, this desk is our pick for creating your own island paradise at home.

If you are after the perfect desk for "him", you can't go past our Mariner collection. Inspired by seafaring captains and their daring voyages on the high seas, these desks feature lightly distressed French finished surfaces and craftsmanship that is made to last.
