The History Of Nick & Nora Glasses
Bartender Dale DeGroff named the glass after Nick and Nora Charles, a pair of fictional detectives who appeared in the 1930's Thin Man films and drank martinis from small, delicate glasses. DeGroff worked at the Rainbow Room restaurant in New York City in the late 80's, making a list of classic and pre-prohibition cocktails in glasses inspired by the characters.
